This lovely detached villa is set in a fantastic, peaceful location yet in easy reach of the stunning, expansive beaches of the Silver Coast, beautiful Obidos lagoon and the charming medieval town of Obidos. The villa benefits from a spacious open plan living room, dining area and kitchen making the holiday a sociable experience for everyone. Patio doors let in lots of light and lead out to a large garden with private swimming pool. The 3 bedrooms are spacious with balconies and en-suite/adjacent bathrooms. The villa is well equipped to ensure guests have a comfortable and relaxing stay. There is plenty to see and do in the surrounding area with great beaches (the nearest Praia do Bom Sucesso is 1.5km away), watersports, beautiful walking and cycling routes and world class golf courses. Notes on prices
Deals available on 2 week periods, low/mid season. The temperature is mild and the sun still around in the winter. We have a radiant fire grate for burning logs in the winter, logs available from the supermarkets. The Silver coast does not shut down for the winter.
Changeover day
We aim to be flexible but Saturday is preferrable. The villa must be vacated by 10.30am on the day of departure and access to the villa is from 2.30pm on the day of arrival.

Accessibility
Access to the villa is via steps, therefore it is unsuitable for wheelchair users. However, the ground floor of the villa has an open plan layout plus downstairs bedroom and bathroom making it suitable for those with mobility issues.
Outside
Garden with 5x4m private swimming pool, outdoor table and chairs, parasol, sun loungers and barbecue. Please be aware our swimming pool is not fenced off from the rest of the property therefore adults should take care and be responsible for watching over young ones.
Coast/Beach
The spectacular beaches of the Silver coast are all within a short distance from the villa. The Obidos lagoon (5 min walk) has tranquil waters, ideal for young families. The beaches of Bom Sucesso (5 min by car or 20 min walk) and Foz de Arelho (30 min drive) are great for families. The fishing town of Peniche and Baleal (each approx 20-25 min drive away) attract both surfers and families. The popular seaside resorts of Sao Martinho and Nazare are slightly further but definitely worth a visit.
Golf
The World Class golf resorts of Bom Sucesso (offering concessions for guests staying in nearby villas!) and Praia d'el Rey are a 5 min drive away. Both courses boast truly wonderful views over the surrounding coastline. Other courses include Golden Eagle (25 min away) and Campo Real (30 min drive). Penha Longa, Quinta da Marinha and Estoril can be reached by car within 60 minutes.
Travel
Lisbon airport is 90 kms approx 1 hour drive away (Easyjet, TAP, Aer Lingus). Porto airport is 274 km approx 2 hours 40 min away (Ryanair).
Distances
The medieval castle town of Obidos is 20 min drive away and has a good selection of traditional restaurants whilst the spa town of Caldas da Rainha with its mix of modern shops and daily vegetable markets is 25 min by car.
Further details
There are many activities in the area including great cycling routes, horse riding, fishing, water sports including surfing. The word surf championships are being held at nearby Peniche in October 2009.and of course golf. Bowling and cinemas (English subtitles) can be found at Caldas. There is a mini mercado situated under La Bateira restaurant at the mouth of the lagoon (Praia da Bom Sucesso). Banks and a supermarket can be found at Obidos (Pingo Doce) or visit Caldas da Rainha for a wider selection of banks and shops (daily vegetable market plus Intermarche, Le Clerc, Modelo, and more).

Bookings can be secured by payment of a 25% deposit. Payment balances become due 4 weeks before arrival. Payment accepted in GBP by cheque or bank transfer. Or Euro by bank transfer (bank rate for Euros used not tourist rate). Refundable £100 security deposit required payable by Paypal 1 week before rental period.
